I would hire after much looking a shop or person to finish up my 69 project they way i want it,

I would take tina up to whatever car place she desired and get her a good sound car she wanted.
And give the xterra to someone who could use it,

I would learn how to set up a trust fund for my step daughter so shes taken care of but cant blow it on a party or party favors.

I would set up the couple friends i have who are real friends,

I would fix the remaining things i need to on our house,
Including swapping shed i have in on one that holds a couple cars,

Set aside a trust type idea for tina and i to live as we do yet since this was a blessing of free money i would want to help others,

Move to a warmer dryer climate. Big house, even bigger garage. 1969 ZL - 1 , 1969 L - 88. Set the kids up for life. Big gifts to the animal shelters & the needy. Always dreamed of being a philanthropist.

Just what would you do?

Me, I'd buy a new home with a 10 car garage and go shopping...

How about you?

Fuel injected, >500ci alloy block big block, Detroit Speed suspension, flares, big brakes, and some big wheels and tyres (the only real reason I haven't flared my car now is the exponential increase in cost of wheels and tyres over the current 10" wide wheels and 295 tyres).

I'd also build a bigger garage and workshop and go shopping for some new projects (I'd still want to build my own toys!) in addition to my current stable (heavily modified MG Midget, heavily modified '79 Ford F250, and the Vette). Porsche 930 Turbo would be high on the list, as would a chopped 3 window coupe, a pre-war MG, an A9X style LX Torana hatchback and some kind of 50's lead sled. Maybe an exotic or two if I'd really grabbed some big numbers (a Bugatti type 35, a '60's V12 Ferrari, an F40 and/or Countach), but I'd probably want to keep the number of vehicles to no more than 10, or at most possibly 15 - otherwise I wouldn't have time to work on and drive them all!

After seeing the "Street Shop" display at Mecum this weekend. I would be giving them a call to make my current Corvette the ultimate.

First, set up a trust for our kids and family.
Second, buy about 5 acres near Tahoe City, build a modest home with a nice garage.
Third, finish my C3, sell it and start another project.
Enjoy life with my wife, family and friends.
Oh wait that's what I'm working towards now.
So I guess not much would change.

I'd keep what cars I have and add a new ZR1- which I'd run at road courses as often as possible....assuming they really fixed the cooling issues that the Z06 has suffered. But I'd be keeping a very close watch on the C8 and the mid-engine car, whatever brand they put on it.

I'd also upgrade the DD in a big way- fast but luxurious. I love my house and my area but I'd look into a warm climate winter home, maybe in AZ since the wife and I like going there.

Oh, and I'd probably drop a BIG cube bigblock into the '69. Low-mid 10s in the 1/4 mile would probably keep me happy.

I'd keep the '82. Build another house with a huge garage (get a couple of dream cars I've always wanted) and give away most of the money to charities, my family, and friends.

I would enjoy seeing who I can find that needs help, as many and as far as the amount could take me but hold aside the federal and state taxes.

The only way I can get some true happiness out of this life would be to help some that otherwise face hardships of one kind or another.

Great replies, I see much of my own thoughts in a lot of them...
Money goes very quick and a Million is not as much as it used to be, I would also try stay on the bottom of things mainly (Normal House in mild climate, nice Garage, and a few Projects on the Vette) and seek some People in my surroundings that would Need some hardship Support... At the end your health is most important!

I know the question would require more information to make it a viable discussion, such as "I Just Won $100 Million in the Lottery, Now What?" but I didn't want to restrict any discussion around size of their dreams.

I am honestly living my dream now. I have a great home, big enough garage, lovely wife, four healthy kids, two of the four are married and another one will be soon, a healthy grandson to play with, and so much more. Me, I am living the dream now in retirement.

Of course a $100 Million would be fun too.

In preparation of the possibility of winning millions, it would probably be a good idea to break off all communication with family and friends now. Chances are you would only be looked at as a source for handouts.

Buy a fully restored 63 coupe (just because I was born in 63) and lease a brand new one to dive around in.
A new house with a 20 car underground garage.
Leased brand new vehicles for my kids, that way they get new ones every couple of years and I can pay for it on just the interest alone.
The list is endless, but as long as I can live off the interest for the rest of my life, I will be good.
