Default Dash Cameras

Thinking about getting a dash cam. Any reasonable cost recommendations you can share? Looking for something that fits our C3's like it was meant to be there. Maybe a replacement for the rear view mirror? I did a search but came up dry.

How about just a GoPRO??? many mounts available to use. would have to turn on &off though. They advertise a mirror camera that clamps over your existing rear view mirror on TV.

Default Dash Camera

Not sure you'll find anything that looks like it belongs there for a C3 but there is a ton of them out there. Amazon has a big selection if your window shopping and YouTube has reviews and comparisons. A GoPro is more of an action camera and not as well suited as a dash camera - assuming your interested in something with "parking" mode to protect your C3.

Default HD Mirror cam

Went with the HD Mirror cam. Very versatile, and easy to move from car to car. Has a motion detector.

After my Vette got damaged last March I put Goluk dashcams in all my cars.

Very reasonable price, wifi access etc.

http://en.goluk.com/pages/t3-overview.html

Have been working great since.

I bought a GS8000L . Cheap as chips but be careful to use the card they suggest. It did not work on a 10 card but now sorted with a 4 card.

C3 of Year Finalist (appearance mods) 2019

Default What should I do now?

I purchased two HD Mirror cams, one works the other did not.
Heres my story:
1-12 10:00 am, called customer service and was told they will email a return label.
1-12 3 pm called again and was told the label will be sent by snail mail.
1-17 Told they will send a new one and to put the bad one in the same box and return it.
1-18 I was told the replacement was shipped.
1-24 Told the replacement ORDER was put in but not shipped and to call back next week.

The one I have works OK but I have not downloaded the mini card to see if it actually records.
The instructions are very poor but you can push the different buttons and figure it out.

Here's a picture of the one that works.

Sony Action cam with viewing screen I put on mirror total cost about 500.00. The videos it takes are crystal clear.
