Strut rod assembly question
I'm getting ready to replace polyurethane strut rod bushing that are breaking up. (car is 1972) I'm not sure if whoever replaced them assembled them correctly. I am going back with rubber. My question is, are the bushing caps referenced in the assemble manual only used on the ends towards the center of the car and not on the end that goes on the shock mount?

you are correct only the center end of the rod uses them
