Default 1969 - No AC, Heater control vacuum source PIC REQUEST

I'm trying to fix several things on my 69, and in the course of working on the wipers and wiper door, I came across an open vacuum line.

I believe it's the vacuum supply line for the heater control. I exits the firewall beneath the wiper door limit switch, and the tubing is small diameter, roughly 3/16" or 5/16".

The Willcox diagram below shows it, but not how it joins to the vacuum source. Does anybody have a pic of how this line is routed after it leaves the firewall and how it connects to the vacuum lines?

Thanks.

Hi R,
After the 1/8" vacuum supply hose for the heater/defroster controller comes through the firewall it joins the yellow striped vacuum hose running to vacuum relay that controls the wiper door.
There is a 't' in the yellow striped line with a 1/8" nipple for the heater/defroster line to connect to.
Look along the length of that line for that 't'.

This is the 't' on a 71 car. It's further to the right on the firewall because of a change in the wiper door relay's location.
Regards,
Alan

The 't' will likely be closer to the relay... not as shown here. Look for the yellow (vacuum supply) hose running to the wiper door relay.

Here you see the small hose, the large vacuum supply hose, the 't' and the tiny clamp.

Thanks Alan.

After some investigating, it looks like the "T" used to be about 3" from the relay. The yellow line is spliced in that location and is now connected with a short piece of metal tubing. The T probably broke at some point and BUBBA decided the heater controls didn't need vacuum anymore.

Hi Rick,
The tiny nipple was very easy to break off the tee.
A tee in that configuration... 2 large nipples opposite each other, and 1 tiny nipple at a right angle to the other 2...is difficult to find.
Perhaps someone knows of a source for them?
Regards,
Alan

You are reading my mind. If anybody knows where to source them, let me know.

Hi Rick,
A tee with THIS configuration is available. (Close but not quite.)
It can work but the 2 large nipples should be opposite each other.

Regards,
Alan

The first one shown isn't the configuration for at least 68-72 cars.
Scroll down a few items to the $7 tee. People say they can make this one work.
You might find this one in your auto parts store.
