This may sound stupid, but when I removed my center dash to install a oem radio for a 76 I marked each connector with a piece of tape. I think I put the tape on the side facing the firewall. But it has been a while and now I am ready to put it back together. Now I am not sure which way to put the connectors on the guages. If I rotate them the wrong way I will have the wrong wire on the wrong terminal. I have a dr. rebuild colored wireing digram that shows the connectors and color of the wires which are the same as my wires on my car. I was woundering if there was a digram that showed what color wire should match up with the guages terminals.
Thanks for any help.

Peterbuilt I knew someone would have a drawing. I have seen you have helped a lot of people on the forum. Thanks so much for the help. It had been a while as I had to pull the driverside dash also to replace the speaker on that side. you know when you get into something there is always while you are at it there is more to do. I had to replace the dash the plastic housing for the speedo and tach. replaced the tach board while was there and the speedo.
Thanks again
larry
Most of the connectors have one of the legs(?) that has a slot- that slot goes over the tab on the gauge terminal. While they CAN (and probably have) be hooked up incorrectly, you would really have to work to get them backward and fully seated. Peterbuilt has them very nicely labelled above, you can also see the tabs on the terminals.

Thanks Tim for the input. I got my dr. rebuild drawing and was going over the wiring, and it shows there is a pink wire that picks up the door adjar light then goes by and picks up the temp guage then picks up the fuel guage then on to the oil guage so that looks like it is the 12 volt feed and the others are sending wire or ground. I kind of figured the the tabs I saw on my guages would only allow them to go only one way.
Thanks for the help.
