Slack in steering rack
I have a vette brakes rack and pinion kit installed. I have about a one inch of slack in the steering. When I get On a smooth road it is easy to see. It seems to be in the bottom of the column. It is a rebuilt column. Other than that the steering kit is fine. It is not in the joints. Has anyone dealt with this?

Need get someone to turn the wheel, with engine off, and so to check the entire function of the input linkage....while rocking the wheel back and forth about 45 degrees or so.....fingers on the damper/universals/mounts/links/bearings you should be able so feel it easy....IF all that is tight, need check the slack in the rack....should be NONE, or DAMN close.....
