Gentleman; Low Beam burned out on one of my C-3. Called auto supply, they wanted 16.35 for one, I looked up on Rock auto, 5.64 each. I ordered two & six 1157 @ 1.02 for the six,, Auto store wanted 3.45 for two I am just waiting for it to warm up a few degrees to install. I am loving Rock Auto. The Doc.

The problem with Rock Auto is that when you buy a lot of different items, they nail you for shipping from several different warehouses effectively negating the savings.

Yes Sir; But it still is worth the savings, more than 20.00 on the two headlights. & ten more on the six 1157. That's thirty & the shipping was 14.00. So for a grand savings of 15.00, & I didn't waste the Gasoline to go to the store. Thank's for the hint. The Doc..
Rock Auto is awesome! They have incredible deals during the month. I bought 4 new bulbs that were on wholesale closeout for 80 cents a piece. Yes, you do have to factor in shipping, but as Doc says, it's still a lot cheaper. Cheapest parts on the web I've found.
Ive ordered tons of things from them for all my cars over the years. Im in South California I think theres a lot of nearby distribution centers usually get stuff in a day or 2.
For the corvette ive installed a lot of chasssis components from them. most bushings tierods bearings steering rebuild kits and some brake components. with tacx and shipping its Still wayyy cheaper than autoparts store.

True, You do want to check your order and drop off any odd stuff from other locations. They are a great place to find deals if you know the "rules".
theres a way to get cheaper shipping. Even When I have stuff shipped from 20 places its still cheaper than the autoparts store. I even choose priority.
They do have a lot of name brands to pick from, where as the auto stores have to order most name brands in. It's just a good place to find things when others are asleep. & they do give info. on all of their parts. Thank's you guys, for all your hints & comments, This is a great place to keep informed. The Doc.
I had one high beam go bad on my 81 and found a pair of Halogen replacements at NAPA, 5 bucks each. If you do not see it on the shelf and you are able to talk to one of the guys knowledgeable in the store, they will usually be able to hook you up.
I use rock auto quite a bit. You have to do a lot of your own research: for instance they carry fel-pro and sealed power but you wont find them if you look for the part under your car. You have to find the part number from the manufacturer and use the rock auto part finder. Saved a TON on my engine build this way.
I also love Rock Auto , there pricing is great , living in Canada they are still way cheaper , and I have a commercial account here at a big parts store.
Don't buy anything over the internet that might need to be returned!
Low-dollar items are fine. Important items?....no way. It's too much of a hassle to jump all the 'hoops' when you get a dud....
I'm in the UK so returning parts is unlikely to happen,
Even with shipping, tax and import duty prices are ok and I've ordered parts on a friday and had them on my desk 6000 miles away by the monday.
