Default Heater Hose Bracket install

Anyone know how the heater hose bracket attaches to the inner fender well on a 1971 BB A/C car? There are 2 little **** on the back the look like they might snap into a hole. Don't see how this would work on a fiberglass inner fender.

What that means is, it's pretty darn close to the way it left the factory.
Lol. I would say so. I wonder if a different bracket was used on AC cars.

Hi,
The clamp has 2 parts.
A flat plate with a rectangular opening in it's center is riveted to the apron.
The clamp has 2 flexible prongs.
The prongs are squeezed together using a pliers on the face of the clamp that will mate against the plate.
The clamp is held in place and then a screwdriver is used to open the prongs from the side of the clamp that will hold the hoses. They're partially 'spread'.
Those 'opened' prongs hold the clamp in place on the plate.
Regards,
Alan

These are a pair of the clamps.

These prongs are on the way to being in the position they'd be when installed in the plate.

Hi p,
This is the configuration of the plate on the heater air box on a no a/c car, but I believe it's the same as the plate mounted on the apron.
Regards,
Alan
