Default power window - extra wire?

Hi guys,

Finalising getting the doors back together - the windows work, but there is an annoying extra wire that has never had a home!

can anyone tell me where this is meant to go?

thanks!

The car is a 68 - so I very much doubt it

The aim doesn't seem to reference it.. but it does look original..

The Corvette window motor has a 2-wire connector (rather than a 3-wire as in your photo), with a separate ground wire that is attached to the motor housing. I wonder if that motor has been replaced with a non-Corvette unit and had some 'grafting' done to the wiring. One of the wires on that connector appears to be black (ground), which should not be there [unless the '68 unit was different from later years].
