Default 3 point conversion ....

So I'm looking ahead to seat belts, my thoughts are to go away from the stock 71 set up but I'm thinking a full harness set up might be a bit much. I've come across this 3 point conversion set up at Corvette Mods,

https://www.corvettemods.com/C3-Corv...t_p_10933.html

Just wondering if anyone has ever installed this set up and what they think?

Dave

Have you considered the F-body belt conversion?

I've got a set of belts if you're interested, Grey but could be dyed

Actually I saw your post, it made me wonder what other options were out there.

I'll keep it in mind.

There were questions on fitment but no installations.

I wouldn't buy from them, mainly as I'm too far away in case it goes bad

here's a pic of me holding up the steel that's drilled and tapped next to where I have already put one in ,

you can see the shadow left over from the trim mounting part I had to cut away to get to that spot . I got to that spot by using a panel from a 74 that had the top mount and just centre punched a spot in the middle of the hole of panel , easy.

to get the steel up there I used some plastic trim stuff and taped it to the steel and manoeuvred it around , its tight ,but I got it there . I did however use too much tape which made it hard to break it away after.

that steel is about 1/2 inch thick and with a fine thread ,is about the same amount as the original captured nut . Kit comes with two small rivets to hold it there while its not finished .

My kit is made from new parts and is engineered approved down here so at about 300 I feel its worth it over just lap belts .

Here is the GEN 4 Camaro/Firebird setup to go through the seat. I did this mod to my '71 years ago but have not taken them through the seat yet as my seats are shot and need to be rebuilt or I'll do a seat swap to something more comfortable.
