Default Painting the engine compartment.

Just a bit more degreasing, pressure spraying, scrubbing, scraping, sanding to go and it will be time to paint. Thinking I'll use some of that anti-rust paint on the frame, but after then what? Acrylic Latex for the firewall? Epoxy based paint? I'm not a purist it's a 77 model resto-mod. I may talk myself into waiting for a frame off option, not enough room now and will be where I at till May or June.

what ever you decide to do, wrap hoses, wiring etc with Ali foil.

scrunch it on and around parts you don't want to get paint on.

quick n easy

Before
After
I used John deer blitz black on the fiberglass parts and a high gloss VHT chassis paint on the metal parts. And the accessories are powdercoated.

I learned the hard way. I would rather spend a few hours foil-wrapping things than spend a whole weekend cleaning sanding dust and paint overspray off things.

FWIW: you don't want a latex paint under the hood and you do not need an epoxy. The factory used acrylic lacquer.
