1972 - Will 78 pace Car front spoiler fit?
Will the front spoiler for a 78 Pace Car fit on my 72? If not why not. Or can it be "adjusted to fit and if so how?
Thanks

I can't say that the overall shape is the same or different or if it can be made to fit (most anything can be made to fit with enough effort and talent/money) but the mounting surfaces and methods are definitely different from the pre-72 to the 73-79 noses.
As you know, the 72 small deflector mounts to the vertical lip on the underside of the nose while the 78 style mounted up through the nose itself.

73-79 seem to be the same ecklers 25-100033-1 or 25-112402-1

That said, you can purchase a one piece indy style spoiler for your 72 that mounts to the vertical lip and an added bolt up at the tips
Eckler 25-100012-1
I've got one hanging on the wall, haven't tried to fit it yet so can't comment on that. 7t2vette has one I believe

That appears to be a "page not found" result.
And your third link appears in the "reply" window, but not in your posted message. I could make it work by cutting and pasting into a new tab's address bar but if I put it in this message it also seems to just go to the eckler's home page.

The second link worked for me the first time I tried it since you updated but after trying it again it just goes to the Eckler's home page, as does the third link.
Maybe its something screwed up on my computer.

not sure what's going on with the links, work on my tablet but not on the desktop. Copy the url and paste into the browser and it works fine, otherwise like you say, goes to the homepage.
Ah well, the part numbers from ecklers are there. Probably doesn't help OPs question anyway

The first image looks like someone did something like it, on a chrome bumper car.

I have that exact Ecklers front spoiler on my 72. It is made to fit the 68-72 cars, and resemble the Pace Car spoiler.
Here are a few pics that show it pretty good on my car:
Hope this helps.

Does it improve handing at higher speeds? When i hit highway speeds, and above, i feel as though i am floating; steering feels soft and not as responsive. I want get that air out from under the car, and maybe a little extra down force.
your car is stunning.

What if one were to add a couple of vertical blades facing forward? I would think it would stop air from running off the side of the spoiler and funnel it straight up into the radiator. Like the blades on the ends of aircraft wings to stop spanwise airflow.
