Hi all.
Anyone have any idea where to get an original servicemanual for a original carstereo from a 74 Corvette?
Have no idea where to start to get it to work again now it is totally dead.
Thanks
there are people who work on them, but they most likely won't give out service ideas, that takes away from their income. You can send it off for repairs, or purchase a radio that works from someone on the forum. Check on the internet for services on radios, and call them.
FWIW: C3 units were assembled at GM Delco in Kokomo, Indiana. These days the Kokomo facility does computers, but they may have some of the older records. I got a schematic from them for my 68 several years ago.

Well I tried several "older" people working with electronics here in Sweden but none wanna touch them without any kind of manual.
I know I can buy a new one but then that will never be original and no fun either. And consider the price for a lookalike I prefer try fix the original one first.
I will try GM Delco
Thanks anyway

The Delco plant at Kokomo is just about non existent. Just a handful of people working their anymore. Most everything has been shipped south of the border. Have my doubts about finding any literature there. Haven't done radios for probably 20 years.

I think you are right I tried their site yesterday and seems it has divided into 2 different companys so to find anything there seems not so good chance. So guess I need to find someone who dont mind spend some time trying figure out why the radio is dead and that dont charge by the hour
have you checked for 12 volts (could be a blown fuse) and a good ground??? antenna good? speakers and other parts good?? what & how have you checked it??

Since it is totally dead nu use to try other external parts. It didnt work in the car and the same outside when hook it up to a 12V source.
