Default Amp/battery box wiring question

Got a question for those of you who have wired up your amp in the back of your C3. When you run the positive wire off the battery, you have to run it to a fuse block and then out to the amp. So my questions are:

a) are you wiring the battery to the fuse block, and then mounting the fuse block to the side of the battery wall? If so, what did you use to attach it to the wall?

b) when running the positive wire out of the battery box, how did you do it? The lid doesn't provide a very good way to get the wire out, I'm guessing there's some sort of trick people are using to do this.

Thanks!

The battery box wall is easy enough to drill into. I mounted a covered fuse block there using a couple of self tapping screws.
If you don't want to drill any holes in the battery box for the wiring, you could do as I did. The right hand upper rear corner of the battery box had enough room under the battery door frame to sneak the wire through and under the carpet to the amplifier. It would also be straightforward to drill a hole and put a rubber grommet in it to take the wire out of the battery box and then up to the amp which I assume you are mounting on the rear wall of the storage compartment?

The fuse is to protect the wire from the amp to the battery- that's all it's suppose to do. The amp will have it's own fuse-that's to protect the amp. No real need to add a fuse block- unless you are planning on running several other amps and/or other electronics.

Wire the fuse as close to the battery as possible-

I like these as they are waterproof and minimize connections-

I use them on several different applications- this is a wiring harness for electric headlights-

I brought mine out the side of the battery box and then through the opening at the tunnel, over and up behind the quarter trim etc, long route to get to where it's going but it's hidden and tidy

I used an inline fuse like this.
I routed both neg and pos directly from the battery to the amp by drilling holes in the rear of the battery box.
