For all you NCRS guys out there! I don't believe a passenger side mirror was an option in '72 but some on another website claim it was a dealer installed option. If I added the mirror would I lose points in NCRS judging?
You would receive a deduction for both a passenger side mirror and a luggage rack.
The NCRS standard is to judge the car on the condition normally associated with that of a car that has gone through the standard Chevrolet dealer preparation, exclusive of any dealer additions or purchaser changes.
They use a somewhat convoluted logic in the scoring, so you wouldn’t be getting deducted for having the mirror or luggage rack since they are removable, but for the holes that were added to the body to hold them on. The point deductions would be minor in both cases.
