Default 68 Wiper door alignment (left/right)

Hi All,

I'm a little stumped atm... per the pictures below - my wiper door shows a good half inch clearance on one side, but overlaps on the other.

There doesnt seem to be anywhere to adjust this?

is it just the 4 bolts that secure the wiper door that will give a bit of adjustment, or am i missing something else?

I believe the whole bracket assembly has some adjustment at the firewall.

Hi Dave,
To know what's going on you really need to see the fit with the wiper bay grill in place.
IF the GRILL is over to the side TOO then the whole wiper door mechanism needs to be slid to even out the gaps. (As gtm indicates.)
This is accomplished at the locations that the mechanism is mounted to the cowl.
So, what's the grill fit like?
Regards,
Alan

Do 68 cars have this small bracket? It can be used to 'fine tune' the gaps too. There is one on each side of the wiper bay.

Default Yes.

I agree. At the fire wall. I think for brackets. Two outers and two inners. Good luck.
