It's not a Corvette mirror, or at least not one used any time between 1953 and 1996.

Looks more like a FORD mirror, maybe Mustang, early 70s

Customer wants a 10 inch day night mirror for his 71 C3 I will need a complete assembly. Any suggestions?

Looks like someone has torn part of the mount off to make it work on a non-glass mount.
Here's the Cougar info I saw with the 70-73 date, I still think that's what it might have been before they pulled the shaft off

OH, early chev / gmc trucks had frame mount mirrors that were huge, maybe look at one of those, early 60's, not sure if they dimmed though
69 Camaro, 70-72 Nova all would have had 10" or so mirrors and mounted to the frame as well

Have you checked with the Corvette aftermarket providers for a non-stock 10" replacement?

Looks like I need the 68-76 ball stud and 74-76 early mirror, that I believe is 10"
