hi Everyone! I’m here because I recently got my first Corvette and of course I’m facing some issues and also I do have some questions. So long story short- I’m trying to put my dashborad back but I’ve noticed few loose connectors. The reason why I decided to take car apart- My illumination doesn’t work. I wanted to change bulbs byt it didn’t work. So I’m wondering if my problem is in thise empty connectors.
Letting everyone know what year model you're working on an what "illumination" issue you're having (dash/courtesy/etc) would expedite the feedback loop.
My guess is a ground issue.
Good job on the pics, welcome to the forum, grats on the 1st post.

Ok. Not sure what those are for. They don't show up in the diagram I just looked at. Check the instrument panel ground as suggested above. It's on the drivers side near where the headlight switch would be. I assume you checked all of the fuses. Make sure they lamps aren't dimmed at the headlight switch. (Rotating the switch will dim the headlights. If you feel a click it will switch on the courtesy lights) the next possible cause is the flexible circuit boards on the Speedo and small gauges, as they get older they can cause problems.

Buy a Doc rebuild wiring diagram. It has all the connectors. Makes life easy and worth every penny of it. Also get a wiring diagram so you can trace all the wires and figure out colors.
If you do not have a test light or meter you will probably need one. At least with one you can check to see if you have positive voltage at the lights by going on battery ground. You would then know if you are missing ground. or vice versa. All harnesses have extra connectors for option you may not have on your car. Could be original radio connectors as it looks like you have aftermarket radio.
I think the second picture is the OEM radio power connector. It was probably cut/spliced to put in an aftermarket radio.
I think you may be right. My 82 diagrams dont show the radio, but my 81 diagrams do. It matches up perfectly to a connector for the radio, which would have to be cut for an aftermarket radio.
