Default 1982 crossfire

Can someone share the normal idle setting for a 1982 with the crossfire injection? several months ago I removed the entire crossfire injection system from a friend 1982 and replaced it with a edelbrock 2101 intake and FiTech system. the car runs great, I have the idle set at 700 at idle, I would like to set the idle to the ideal setting on the crossfire injection.

My friend was tired of not able to enjoy his corvette due to the an reliable of the crossfire injection. Now it starts up on the first try, performs way better and has more performance. When I test drove the car before I did the MOD, it wouldn't spin the tire and didn't have any "get up and go". It definitely burns rubber now and very reliable all around.

FWIW: if there are no problems with the 700 rpm idle, leave it there.

have you replaced the distributer?each motor can vary a little on the idle .600-700 rpm in drive is close to what the factory called for..Adj for how it runs.the new fuel system you have on there is a lot faster than the old factory one .you might get the idle down a little more.set the timing right on the factory setting then set the idle.

I think spec is 450, but most say 600 or so is best. Mine idles fine at 450, but it seems asleep.

I kept the stock dist and I did set the timing at stock. Delivered the car Sunday, performed with plenty of power from rolling accell and definitely can lay some rubber from stop. It did however made the trans shift faster, which is nice at cruising speed.

thank you for all the inputs. I am not associated with FiTech and if you not liking your crossfire. this is a good upgrade for it.

I use to be able to break rubber in second on concrete. Then I got more sticky tires. Still break them a bit from standstill.

if you kept the factory distributer, then it is not advanceing.it is controlled by the computer.it will run but not run as good as it could.
