Here is a stumper. For me anyway.
I have a 1980 coup, all of the sudden my heater fan and wipers will only work when my drivers door is open. That is when the door switch is open, they work. When you push it in they stop. Help????
Have you checked your ground cables by the starter, are they clean and tight? I think your wiper motor and blower motor share the same ground follow the black wire on wiper motor, it should go to the bell housing, fan motor too. Check the wires for corrosion and the connection. I think your door switch is providing a ground for your fan and wiper motor.

Hey thanks Cooter. Yes I did trace that ground and found it broken. It's all a go now. You are a great asset as well as the others on here. Thanks for the wisdom.

Glad you found it, grounds are strange animals and will cause you grief and money thinking parts are bad.
