I installed new Corvette America leather covers and foam in my 73.Now I set to high and I am thinking of taking the drivers bottom cushion and cutting the foam down.Has anybody done this? Thanks Charlie.
I`m in the middle of rebuilding my 71 seats with new foam, and new covers. Given the shape of the foam, and how the covers attach to it, I can see no way of cutting it down.
I have seen threads in the past that discuss replacing the seat tracks from the bottom with something more flat. You`d loose the ability to adjust them, but you`d gain a couple inches in height.
I had my seats done in Carlisle last year Al Knoch did a fantastic job on them , but driving home I felt I was 2 inches taller , I'm assumng they will settle after a few months , I also found them hard , but the old ones were 48yrs old . But they look good.

Unfortunately, I believe that's a common complaint regarding seats redone with Al Knoch seat foam. I don't think they settle in. Perhaps the OP's vender supplied foam was obtained from Al Knoch also.
REVITUP , I think you maybe be right I heard that on here from another member , and apparently they sent him new foams , I'll put up with mine cause I don't drive it too far and they look so good , I don't want to mess with them . The farthest place I drive is Carlisle , about 7 hrs , the rest of the summer I stay close to home . Ron
I had new seat cushions put in by Corvette America, and it sat high for a short time. It will settle down after awhile. IF you cut out foam, I think it will also settle down and you will have far less cushion in the long run.

That's what I need so I can see the over the dash.....still have the original seats in my '71. Driving it 43 years ago it was OK, I guess I'm ready for a Cadillac and Del Boca Vista.

that may have been me. I complained and they (Al Knoch) said they had an issue with the chemicals last fall so they sent me new ones for free. If they were sending out hard foams then their quality control sucks.
i haven’t put the new foams in yet (waiting to find seatbelts) but I’ll be sure to let everyone know if it helps. They seem softer when I squish them.
I used new seat foam from Corvette America and it sits WAY higher now then before. I have to duck getting in to miss the roof with my head and after in I have less that 1" headroom. I plan to use 50lb bags of kitty liter laid in seats when not driving it.
I enjoy auto upholstery work and plan to fabricate a "sport seat" back that will use a very similar cover as I find I would like more lumbar and side to side support. The seat bottoms I can live with.
