I was wondering if a set of T-tops off a '78 will direct fit a '74 T-top car, are there any differences? I may go from my solid FG tops to a set of smoked glass ones if they will fit.
Not directly, but it's a fairly easy change.
The 78+ tops only have a single handle at the front and it drives a pin into the halo frame at the rear
The 77- had of course the two handles.
Removing the triangle pin and plate at the rear of your 74 and replacing it with the newer style is a fairly easy and common change
You'd need to remove your triangle pins & plates and replace with a pair of this style
More than one person has said that unscrewing the triangle pin and drilling the threaded hole out will also allow the newer style t-top pin to go in but I've never tried it myself
