Good morning all, just wanted to share the results of my first ever car show entry. For years, i've always been a spectator, but this past weekend I entered my C3 into it's first ever car show and took best of class !
Great car show benefiting a great cause, over 100 cars spread across 28 classes. Lots of awesome cars with lots of ideas for future mods !
Nice! and congrats. The clear coolant hose is cool!
Thanks... yes that tube got THE most questions and comments. Beside looking different, it's also very handy. It really shows the coolant flow and how the thermostat reponds.
The clear coolant hose is AWESOME!! Never seen it before. Did you make it yourself? Car looks great and your engine bay looks fantastic! Do you have a crate in there?

The Hose you can find on places like Ebay. It's glass type of material that was originally developed by NASA (like lots of stuff). Then i used Silicone radiator hose and Gates heat shrink clamps. The look i'm after is almost there for my engine bay. Im still wanting to convert to serpentine setup, and i have an AFR composite intake manifold left to install. Then last will be an EFI conversion, but that's all in time. All this wish list eats dollars like crazy, so all in time.
The engine was built by Kim Barr racing engines in Garland Texas. He's an old school racer that has been building for years. It's a 383 stroker with Eagle components.
Thanks Alan, yes that was alot of fun. Met a ton of great people all with the same passion for life and cars. I hope to do many more of these into the future.
