If you are not pulling the engine and cleaning/repainting everything, it won't be up to NCRS standards.

But, the rest of us will like it just fine!

Hi 72,
Nice looking work!
I have a similar photo to yours except that it's a small block.
With a little ingenuity you can do a first class job on the engine, and compartment with the engine in place.
Carry On!
Regards,
Alan

This is my 69 Chevelle's SS Engine Bay. The Vette will meet or surpass this quality. Maybe not NCRS, but I can make a lot of people envious😎

Thanks Alan! You certainly can. I have had a 69 Chevelle SS and a 68 Camaro R/S that have won Super Chevy and High Performance Chevy Best in Class, that I restored in just this fashion.

Hi dmaxx,
"what a firewall should look like"

Here are some firewall photos from a nice, (!!!), 71 LS-6 that was restored by someone who has a pretty good idea what he's doing.
I don't know if this is what a firewall SHOULD look like, but it's certainly what one CAN look like!

Regards,
Alan

Very nice. I just did the replacement emissions decal and didn't notice until it was fitted that it has two spelling mistakes

It seems to be only 1971 LT-1 decal as I looked at some other years on offer and they looked ok

Carburetor is spelt two different ways also on lines 2. & 4.

The annoying thing is a) I didn't spot it prior to applying & b) Paragon have offered a correct replacement (they say it's never been picked up before) to be included in a future order. Yeah right.. I sanded that area to bare glass to ensure they would stick properly so changing it would be a pain. I guess I'll wait and see if it gets picked up at shows.

Stuart

Hi Stuart,
Thanks.
As I said I don't think I've ever known of anyone catching that!
Well Done!

Alan

Maybe its intentional so that repro sticker can be easily identified.

Na more likely bad spelling from the overseas. I shouldn't talk, I cant spell to save my life!!!!! Ike

See I had to edit the post to correct an error.
