Default LS conversion Engine Bay

For those that have completed or close to completed LS swap my question is what engine bay holes did you use and what ones did you close up??

I'm at the point of making the decision where I'm bringing the main harness into the cockpit and closing up the unused holes. Would like to see what other have done. Pictures please..

Thanks
Tim

I filled and smoothed every hole except the steering column, master cylinder, wiper motor and clutch rod.

Thanks, I'm running painless wring harness and have everything except the 3 wires for the wiper motor. Where are you bringing in the ECM cable? Believe mine requires a 2" hole?
Yours is looking good...

I filled the 2 in that were for the stock ac harness (the 2 angled at each other on passenger side). I left the hole on the drivers side for the throttle cable I think. I'm not using it yet so I'll likely plug it. I made a new hole on passenger side below my ac lines for new wiring harness to run through. Can't see it from up top. My ecm and tcm are mounted in engine bay so I don't have much running inside.

I put me ECM on the rear of the LD mud guard roughly where the washer bottle was.
no extra holes.
I'm going with all the old gauges etc
I don't need any extras just the engine,
if I was to do another I would do away with the original fuse panel and put that out in the engine bay

a question you may be able to assist
what's the difference in these three controllers besides price

Why did you leave the Circular Opening on the far left open? Are you running an aftermarket AC?

I've been in Panama City FL this week (business), Headed home today. I'll post some pictures tomorrow. My Body is on a rotisserie right no as I'm removing all the Tar from the underside. The last thing need to do is the engine bay before putting it back on the Frame.

Another thing I have not done yet is mount the gas pedal, would like to see how you all made a bracket for dong this. Trying to get ideas on the best way to make it.

Thanks

Did you use the vintage air block off panel for the heater core opening, or just glass it flat? (That's how it looks)

I ask because I am working on fiberglass repairs now, and I was going to purchase the Vintage air kit now for that heater core panel. It looks like its protruded to give more space on the inside? But if the kit fits with a flat piece of glass in there I will just do that. Will you just add the hold for the heater lines to go in and use the vintage air grommet?

Thanks for the reply

I made a sheet of fiberglass on a piece flat metal then cut it out and glassed it in. The gas pedal had to be spaced out from the firewall to get the full range of motion. Bolted through one of the existing mount holes for the spacer and drilled another. Then bolted the gas pedal to the spacer.

I have no idea, I purchased a complete turn key wiring harness from PSI. I have started mine up many times with out body being on.

Might want to ask who ever you are going to use to tune it.

I found in my car that the trans does fit reasonablely well , however it would be better to have more clearance around the servo cover.

After some digging it looks like 19259293 has been superceded by 19354336. Looks like that is the e67 ecm with harness, o2 sensors, pedal and maf. 19369376 is just the harness. I'm not sure what ls engine you're running but it says that specific ecm and harness is for the LSA 6.2L/556HP CTS-V Supercharged Engine. Hope this helps you out some.

All. I know when I'm looking for some help on LS conversions I have to jump through some long Frame off threads. Might be good to put all our workarounds in one thread to help others from our trials and mods. I Know I have had to make mutable changes on how to accomplish a work around.
