So I finally got the brake booster removed. I was hoping I wouldn't need to replace but I was unable to pull a vacuum.
Can someone suggest a vendor for a replacement? I've seen rebuilt BB at Rockauto for $65 to new BB at CC for $190.
Does anyone on CF rebuild brake boosters?
If you are trying to stay all original then ignore this response.
I needed to replace the Booster & Master cylinder, so I asked the question on here and a fellow member suggested Tuff Stuff's.
I ended purchasing this setup:
Tuff Stuff 2129NB from Jegs for $172 for both. It is a 9 in. 1 1/8 in. Bore Dual Diaphragm which is made in the U.S.A. You can get it in different finishes.

I highly recommend doing a hydroboost conversion, runs off the power steering pump ......instead of feeling like jello, the pedal feels like iron...and the brakes KNOW something said STOP, not that sucky feeling.....
Years ago I replaced mine with an aftermarket unit. It worked, but not well. I don't remember exactly what the issue was. I finally had my original rebuilt by Booster Dewey and it was perfect.
Dewey has it now.
I hope it goes back In easier than it came out.
I've had the booster back for awhile and kept putting the reinstall off because of the PITA getting it removed.
Yesterday I decided to just get it done. I tried using a "pickup tool" and it worked great, had the booster on in 30 minutes.
I thought I'd pass this tip along for those that may be installing a booster.

That looks good. I usually tape the nut into a swivel socket with masking tape. It's a pain no matter h0w you do it.
These guys are the supplier to all the corvette parts dealers.... I bought mine from the source rather than the middle men. I purchased a new "official" GM Restoration Bendix booster from them.
