Default Transmission filter.

Does anyone know if I have to drop the exhaust to remove the transmission pan. I haven't gotten under it to find out but I want to make sure I have a game plan when I go to change the transmission filter.

I've changed them on TH350 and TH400's and didn't drop the exhaust.

From what it looks like is part of the pan bolts are blocked by a small section of exhaust. Hopefully I can work around it so I don't have to drop the exhaust.

If the exhaust system is essentially the same as it came from the factory, there would be no problem removing the trans sump pan and/or doing a filter change. That HAD to be done as a normal part of maintenance. The cars were configured to allow that work.

If someone put a replacement exhaust system that doesn't allow removal of the sump pan, you will have to "innovate".
