I’ll pull the seat out.. and lay ithe column down...
So... while I’m knee deep and if I decide to change to LED bulbs while I’m in there can I test that they light properly before putting dash back together or is there a grounding issue with it apart that prevents testing befor putting back together? Thanks in advance for all help and sugggestions

When I had mine apart I was very hesitant about removing the column as well. It really wasn’t as bad it it was sounding in my head and it made things infinitely easier with it out of the way. Others had warned me prior about being very careful of the panel in the area that surrounds the column if only dropping the column so as not to crack or damage that area.

Not sure where you got the parts from, but if you are on our email list you'll get special discount emails.

Either way... use the tech site.. it'll tell you how to pull the left hand dash pad step by step... and don't pull the seats. You'll be glad you left them in while working on the left pad.

If you go to http://repairs.willcoxcorvette.com/ you can search it by year... for you look for "left hand dash pad" by your year and it'll take care of you.

Also.. from your pictures it looks as if your center dash bezel is broken... if it is you'll need to make a modification to it to assure the wipers work when you go back together. you do this by jumping a ground wire from the upper plate by the switch to the main gauge housing below.

That’s cool ... thank you. I bought a new bezel and I now realize how fragile they are. I don’t know if I broke it or it was already broke...

I’d still rather pay you if you can get me a ballpark price via email. Like $500 or less... $700 or less .... $1000 or less for example

Still wondering if it is possible to test all dash lighting before it is all put back together... but I assume that it won’t be properly grounded until it is all together....

The price I got was a 1 time favor from a Dealer. I took them up on the offer when I saw the price of a completely new dash...

I envy you. If I lived within an hour of Willcox Corvette I would be living there and watching over their shoulders.
Tell Wiollcox you want the Corvette Forum good guy discount.
Great idea.
Good luck and best regards,
David Howard

Hey Mr. Willcox
Your "Also" note above has me intrigued. I also have a broken center gauge bezel, in the exact location as the OP. I had repaired it with some 2-part epoxy and a thin "splint" (non-metallic).
Now you've got me wondering if this may be the culprit for my intermittent flickering gauge lights in the center stack?
I replaced all 6 bulb sockets and leads, and also upgraded to LEDs. Still get some of the lights to work only intermittently, and thinking that the bezel crack may compromise the ground path, at least for some of the bulbs?
And if so, how to fix?
I think tonight, I'll try to just jump a wire across the cracked area on the show-side first, to see if that keeps the lights on.
