NCRS Manual says there should be two horns/dual tone. So I took the center grille out to check them. The two small horns are there and function properly. But then there is a larger horn located below them. It does not operate. I thought it might be an alarm but cannot find any other evidence of an alarm system. Anyone ever seen this setup? I'm hoping the pictures show up.
Hi t,
I believe you'll find that the horns were typically mounted on the rear of the headlight re-inforcement bar.
68-70 cars had two horns while 71 and 72 cars had a single horn.
I don't think there were ever three horns.
Regards,
Alan
This is a 71 car. In 71 cars had just a single horn. On cars with 2 horns the second horn was mounted about 8" to the right of this horn.

My 68 has two horns. Some previous owner added the third horn.
