rear alignment shim's
The 77 rear bearing assembly's are out for ..rebuild..so I pulled the rear diff..the passenger drive axle was pulling out..clip/retainer came off and was laying in the housing..also pulled the trail arm's out ..for clean n paint..So when noticing shim count and..placement...left side had 2 fat 1 thin ..outboard and 1 thin inboard..BUT..the right side was ..different...the 2 fat and 1 thin were..inboard and the 1 thin was outboard..Should they be set up the same way?? ...this seems ..opposite..and not correct...Customer had this car at another shop..before me..and they had these arm's out for poly bushing install...

Hi jm,
No, there's a good possibility/likelihood that the shim number, size, and placement, required to do a proper rear alignment, will be different on the left and right side t-arms.
The same is true for the required shims when doing a front alignment.

Alan
