BFG Advantage T/A Radials 215x70x15 under consideration
I saw these in Costco today. Appears to be a good tire with stiff sidewalls. They don't make 225's. Anyone do the deed with this tire? These are different than the Radial TA's and have just been on the market for a couple of years I believe.

Advantage TA is a "Club" tire. It's sold in the wholesale clubs for less than the Radial TA. Club merchandise is made to meet a certain price. In this case Costco wants to sell Radial TA for 20% less they contact BFG if they can make that happen. BFG finds it can be done and sell thousands of the discount tires to the clubs. Same thing with TVs, and other appliances. The warranty maybe different where you have to go Costco for tire issues not a BFG dealer. As long as you're not racing, I doubt you will notice any difference.

why would you go for such a narrow tire on a Corvette? How about 255/60x15?

Tire Rack sells the BFG Radial T/A in the 225/70/15 size for $153/each. I would be looking at those. You will be driving on them and looking at them for years so you might as well spring for the right tires.

I did Cooper Cobra 225/70/15 on my 77 L-48. Cost me just under 600 out the door .All I do is street driving no autocross or racing. Been very happy with them so far (4months).

I am also looking at Costco's bf Goodrich T/A tire selection. prices don't seem to bad undecided yet on size 225/70-15 at $520 uninstalled or 235/60-15 at $550 a set both about the same height

235R60-15's are visually better and better performing than the 225R70-15's. But, either will do the job.

I get mine at Discount tire. 245R60x15 for the front (wheel well clearance) and 255R60x15 for the rear.

245's (and maybe 255's) will fit on the front of '75 and later C3's. Only 235's are guaranteed to fit in front on '68-74 cars without rubbing.

If you're anyone like me (a cheap ***, who values every buck, but who also values safety), buy a cheaper tire. Also, the advantage T/A is a higher performance tire than the T/A radial. My car's a keeper, and I've had to toss tires that look perfectly good, but have become too old to be deemed safe. Even the cheapest, crappiest new tire you can buy, still have to meet DOT standards, and are plenty safe and outperform the oe tires from way back when.

If looks aren't important (I think they are, obviously!), the 235/60/15 probably handles well enough with the short sidewalls on a 15" rim.
But they just don't look right, as they are very noticeably smaller in diameter than the original size tires.
