Yup. key / column interlock cable from the transmission
M

I'll also mention that the 2 carriage bolts that hold that bottom flanged part to the floor are actually loose (or at least were on mine) so when you loosen the nuts they can start to spin and you sometimes need a second set of hands to keep the square under the head engaged while you remove the nuts

Thank you....mine were tight and I had already loosened them and lowered the column hoping to avoid pulling it....now looks like Id rather do that than working in a cramped space.

It is still cramped. With the harness, lights, vac hoses, speedo and tach cables it is 10# of **** in a 2# bag. Doing the same thing as we speak.
Get it all into place and some of the bulbs have popped out, gave up for the day.

OK I give up....

Does the big wiring harness go over the top of the Speedo and Tach gauges or behind them near the speedo and tach cables?

On mine it more or less goes over the two gauges and then various wires cascade down onto the rear of them (lights etc)

Depends on the year. I know 68 gets stuffed being the tach and speedo. Later ones go over the tach and speedo.
