Headlight retainer rings

Default Headlight retainer rings
While taking apart my headlight assembly to clean and repaint. At least one of the tabs on each of the retainer rings fell off, Can they be reattached ? Is there a way to do it, JB Weld or something ?

I tried JB weld a few times, but they fell off again. But reproduction rings are cheap enough, so I ended up just replacing them.
