Purchased my current Corvette a little over a year ago. It’s a 69 BB, that left the factory as an L-36 equipped car. Finishing up a 10 month body off restoration.
Received very little paperwork, just the basics. Found a couple of expired registrations in the map pocket, and wrote some letters. Received no response. Was hopeful when I pulled the fuel tank, but again Nada.
This recent find is interesting for sure, but I am no expert. Found these marks on the inside of the rear filler panel. If it is a dealership destination, would they have kept records from the summer of 69.? Assuming they are still in business.
Do a NCRS shipping report and see what dealer sold it new. But your have better luck winning the lotto then a dealer having any records over ten years old
Thanks for the response guys. Not sure why the pic is not up. Looks like it refers to a dealership destination and refers to the car as a recreational fleet vehicle. I have not seen these markings before, and would like to hear from any members who could expand on what a recreational fleet vehicle would have been used for.
The 390 horse 427 is long gone. Not looking to match numbers, only looking to establish the original sale and ownership provenance. Thanks.
