Default Which way would you go ?

Want to do some interior work , seat covers , foam and door panels .I have had my 76 since 86 . I think there was under 1000 made with the interior I have . The door panels and seats are red and all cloth . I really don't care for leather and don't like vinyl . Had emailed the one guy people talk about on here that makes seats and he said the cloth material was no longer available and I don't want to spend a bunch on them . Would like to get both done for under 1000.00 anyideas?

Contact SMS auto fabrics out on the west coast . They carry may fabrics and may have the correct fabric. Call them and they can send you samples to choose from.

I know I have gotten the correct medium blue houndstooth fabric for a 985 from them and had the seats made by Al Knoch Corvette Interiors in Texas.

Put the covers on they fit like a glove there black with a red center . Only problem I had was I couldn't get under the seat to connect the straps , tried removing a bolt on the seat slide didn't look rusted but didn't want to sap it off so will try again later with a little penetrating oil . Since the covers are two-tone would you stay with the red door panels or make the panels match the seats . Don't have to replace the dash or carpets replaced them in the late 90s and the cars been kept inside and only driven a couple thousand miles a year if that .

I'd keep the original red if the rest of the interior is red.

Can you point out the Coverkings you got? I'm interested in something like that since the vinyl on my seats is a little slippery for the kind of driving I do. But the ones I see on there all say "not for seats with seatbelt cutout" which a 73 has.
