Thank you all for your help.

David,

I can come up on the 10th if that would be easier. We could load and deliver in one day that way. Either way is fine with me though.

That will allow me to free up one of the storage garages which would help me out a lot. Appreciate the offer sir.

Friday the 1st works best for me. I'm off that day.

David,

Seems like you have lots of volunteers, but if it doesn’t get done, I’ll be on the east coast in three weeks and could take care of it then. Also, I work for alcohol.

Thank you all for your offers of help, I really appreciate it.

Wednesday, May 30th, will be a banner day as item #4 will be taken care of with the help of some good friends. I also will be receiving a 1972 frame I purchased from another good forum friend and it will be arriving on the 30th as well. Doctor's appointment is June 1. GoVetteGo is coming to visit on June 2. I am working to arrange the delivery of the 77 body to Scranton or June 9, still to be confirmed. I don't have a date for picking up my 72 racer yet but I am working on it and the 77 black car may have a new stable mate soon as another 77 has presented itself to me. So all in all I have a lot going on even though I am mostly immobile.

I will update you all as I get back home (Tuesday) and let you know how it is progressing. Until then have a great Memorial Day weekend.

This 73 body is half hour from Voorhees. Eve. If you dont have room for it, I think it would be worth stopping by and eyeballing it. If trailer could handle 1.5 cars, it would be a home run. But it'll be here...

David,
It was great to see you today, and though I don't feel like I did much, I enjoyed the conversation - there's never enough time it seems. All things well in Martiansburg. ...oh, btw, you have a broken foot!

Thank you Nick, I appreciate the help. Lenny and I (mostly Lenny) got the storage garage emptied. Just need to sweep it and turn it back in. I'll update the list soon but thanks for the help.

A quick update on status. Progress, however small, is still progress. Mine is not so small and I am very happy at the results to date.
Thank you all.
David

1) Swapping cars. I have Gordon's 72 convertible sitting in my trailer now ready to take to his house from mine. Gordon lives about two hours from my home. I live in Easton, PA and Gordon lives in Voorhees, NJ. I need to hook my truck to my trailer, haul the car from Easton to Voorhees, unload his car from the trailer, load my 72 racer onto the trailer, haul my truck, trailer and 72 racer home. It can be accomplished in a single day, but four hours of the day will be driving down and back. If you cannot drive the truck and trailer down but can meet at Gordon's to assist with unload and loading that would be helpful as well. Lunch, gas money and more on me for this one. I am available for this one a weekend if this works best for you starting in June. Monday, June 11 scheduled.

2) Once #1 is accomplished I need to move the 72 racer from the trailer to my garage. I have a winch on my lift and can easily pull the car up onto the lift once it is off the trailer. This project involves moving two 77's out of my garage and moving one 72 racer onto the lift. Once the 72 is on the lift I can put one of the 77's under the 72 racer and one of the 77's in the center bay of my garage. Lunch on me, gas money and more on this project. I am available any time after #1 is accomplished to complete this one. Tuesday, June 12 scheduled..

3) Once #1 and #2 are completed then I have a third project I would like to accomplish which is moving a 77 body sitting on a 78 rolling chassis on to my trailer and helping to deliver it to Scranton, PA from my home in Easton, PA. Body has been sold. All equipment is here at my home and I can help, I just cannot drive. It takes about an hour to drive from my home to Scranton each way, plus we will off load the body in Scranton by rolling off my trailer, moving the body, rolling my empty chassis back on the trailer and driving home. Lunch on me, gas money, and more if you have the time to assist. I have an open trailer in addition to my enclosed trailer so this one could be done just about any time as well. New owner would like to have the car by June 10th if possible.
The 77 body is now on the trailer for transport to a new home.

#4 is independent of the other three. I have items in storage (about twenty items) that I need to move into my small (8' X 6') enclosed trailer. I have the trailer and truck here, just need to pick up my truck, drive it and me to storage, attach the small trailer, move it to my storage unit (100') and load the items onto the trailer. Once loaded I can sweep out the storage unit and give it back to the storage company and quit paying for empty space. We will then put the trailer back on the pad (at storage) where we got it and drive back home.
This project will take about an hour and a half to accomplish and I would gladly pay you gas money to come, for your time, and lunch if you have time to drive me locally to eat. This one can take place as early as Wednesday or Thursday, May 30 or 31; or Saturday or Sunday, June 2 or 3. I have Dr. appointment on June 1 so I cannot do it on that day. I would like to have this completed by June 3 if possible.
ITEM FOUR IS NOW COMPLETED. THANK YOU TOYLMAN FOR HELPING ME GET THIS ONE DONE.

Thank you Roger, nice of you to say. I am getting around a little better now, four weeks ago this accident happened and today I see my Dr. I am hopeful I can put some weight down on it and get some mobility soon. Until that time I have had to move from mechanical mode to logistical mode and after a month I am ready to get back to mechanical for sure.
Hoping for good news today.

Update for this thread.

Foot surgeon has asked me to ween myself off of the crutches in the next week ending this Friday. I have pretty much done it now. Now I live with my boot on and off for the next seven weeks.

I have a tentative date for moving the 1977 body (sitting on my 1978 rolling chassis body dolly). I spoke with the new owner and I will be targeting a delivery the week of June 18th which gives him a little more time to prepare his area and car. That works for me.

I want to drop off Gordon's 72 and pick up my 72 prior to that delivery if I can.

The week of June 11th is my week to swap cars with Gordon. I will make contact and see if this can happen. I cannot drive my truck and trailer so I need a driver for the two hour trip down, two hour trip home, and swap of the cars at Gordon's house. Like I said before I am more than willing to pay for the help, you just need to have driver a truck and trailer previously so this won't be new to you.

Anyone?

Thank you for your help.

David,

So does this mean you won't need me this weekend? See if next week is possible with Gordon and I can take a day and come up to help you out. I have driven a truck and trailer cross country on multiple occasions so no worries there. Any day other than Tuesday or Friday I can do. Let me know.

The best day weather wise, if they are at all accurate, will be Monday, June 11th. Sunny and 78 should make the roads nice and a good day for the drive. Gordon confirming now. Stay tuned. David
