Well i dont know about any of that but,
I have to wonder about a thread like this all the attention is great if the guy is into ego stroking and a "hey, look at me" type but what if the last thing he wanted was a flag raised, sometimes people like to go MIA for all kinds of reasons,
Seems if a person is concerned about someone starting with pms, emails, texts and calls would be a more private respectful way to check up on them.
And if those more off the radar ways of contact are not avilable to you theres a reason for that
And like all, i do hope alan is fine and dandy...

I consider him to be one of the top 3 contributors to this forum. I hope everything is ok with him, and that we see him back soon. He would definitely be a huge asset given up if he doesn't come back.
