Default Finally - Painted Intake

After doing searches on painting intakes, I finally went at it... My rule of thumb, as long as it looks better than before ... I'm happy....

Thank-you. I used VHT High Temp - 550F. Had really good luck with VHT Flameproof on my headers, so I thought I would try it on the intake...Also, bought ARP 12 point stainless steel bolts

What black paint did you use for the engine bay? I've been experimenting with different shades of black (flat / semi-gloss) to get the right look under my hood and I like how yours looks.

That intake looks amazing! Ill cross my fingers that is stays that way for you. I'd love to hear an update after some miles, because I might do the exact same on my intake. Mine definitely needs freshening up.

The engine bay was like that when I bought it. If I was to guess, I think it would be closer to semi-gloss. Maybe other can chime in....

Thank-you. Hope so too. I've had really good luck in the past with VHT paint. My header paint looks like the day I painted it. Remind me in a few months and I will be happy to take a picture to see how it turned out.
