So I replaced the power steering control valve after I discovered it was leaking . I also decided to replace the power steering pump and hoses as well. I bled the system correctly and dialed in the control valve to specs , and I am getting no power assist whatsoever . I have no more ideas and have exhausted every option I have , even replacing the power steering pump a second time to try and resolve this issue . I am running short on patience and am almost getting ready to throw the system out and just go manual , since that is essentially what it is now anyway 😂 help me Obi wan kenobi, your my only hope !

What do you mean you dialed your Control Valve to specs?

i mean that I balanced the valve and made it so that the slave cylinder did not turn the wheels one way or another . I balanced it so I could move the shaft by hand in either direction
I guess you turned in your original pump when you go the first pump as a core....correct???
I am assuming that the lines are connected and the extend and retract hoses are crossed as they are supposed to be going from the cylinder to the control valve...and they are not kinking.
I would say that you have a valve problem in your pump ...which is behind the large fitting that your pressure line attaches to on the back of the pump.
I have never had a bad control valve cause the car to not have power assist. It usually start a the source ..and that is the pump.

yes sir . So my original pump actually seized due to a lack of fluid ( due to the control valve leaking so profusely ) . I turned in that core for a new one and ordered in a control valve at the same time . I installed both and it shows the same characteristics of what I see now , so I replaced the pump again . After checking the 2nd pump to ensure it was putting pressure to the system ( it was ) it still shows the same characteristics as if I don’t have power steering . I actually watched a YT video to guide me through the process (c and s corvette) .
How did you balance the control valve if there was no pressure? If you turn the adjustment one way or the other to unbalance it (pump running and front wheels off the ground) what happens? You are sure there is pressure getting to the control valve? The ball stud poking out of the control valve should be rigid then the pump is running if it isn't there is no pressure being applied by the pump.

did you bleed/ burp the system? before you turn it on you have to rotate the wheels left and right about 20 times to get the air out of the sytem. Either by turning the steering wheel or by grabing one of the tires and manually turning it to the stops. obviously you have to have the front end off the ground
I was told that if you replace the hoses there is a valve in the pressure line that needs to be pushed back in with your finger before you attach the hose.
I have not done this myself to prove that it works. Sorry.
