1972 454 wire problem
Folks, engine compartment, orange and black wire comes from center
of engine compartment, about 3 feet long with a black rubber connector at end, where the heck does it go? my books do not show this wire, thanks Mike.

Auto / Standard?
Picture of the connector might help.
If it's an automatic and the connector is round, with the two wires arranged in a "T" then it's likely the electric kick-down plug for the transmission
