Vin # Question

New Vette owner - so sorry if I'm asking dumb questions.. I looked up my 76 VIN # and it has a "D" for factory location.. All ive been able to find on line is it should be an "S" for St Louis.. What is the "D" location? Thanks for your help

There shouldn’t be a D in that position. You might want to post a pic as it may be a replacement tag.

Looked it up where? What does the actual VIN tag say? It's on the driver's windshield post and visible from outside the car.

Ill check it when I get home.. Wasn't sure where it was located.. The Vin # on the Title is 1Z37L6D4*****

I'd bet the farm on a typo error on the title. D is next to S on a computer keyboard.

check those titles get them correct !
