73 Vette (2) questions
Before I begin let me state that I am out of the state right now where my wife has the car in Mass.
She took it out today and when she parked it she placed the shift in reverse and then lifted the hand brake (emergancy brake)
When she got back to the car she found the vacuum line was now hanging from under the dash and of course the power head light was now popped popped up.
The first question is....can she look under the dash to locate where the line needs to go?
The second question relates to the emergency brake......when she tried to release that and slide it down it appears the brake handle was stuck in the upright position.
When she contacted me I just had her jiggle it several times and then it went down a little and then after more jiggling it released completely
She also stated that the button at first appeared to stay in and would not pop out.
So im wondering what I can do or do I need to have the console opened up and spray wd40 or something in there?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be great. Now that it is home again she does plan on taking her out again which to me is fine as llong as the vacuum line does not get in here way.
Thanks for any thoughts that you may have.

Regarding the brake I would take the E brake cover off (careful there is a hidden screw coming in from the back storage tray area spray it down with cleaner and lube it well, but I would not use WD40 it tends to gum up things.
good luck this is how my 72 is yours may not. Ike

I have also added a photo of our 73 vette,
again thanks for the input
Due to the hood/wiper door revision, 1973 only has one switch below the dash to override the headlight switch should it fail. If the vacuum line fell off here it is a simple and quick fix. If the line came off at the headlight switch, this is a little more involved. You would have to drop the steering column and remove the driver's side dash to access the switch.
Good Luck, Greg
