I used Testors on my old emblems and they looked much better. 2 problems I had were, on a 79 the Testor's red didn't match the factory red on the emblem, and I didn't try to mix other colors to get a perfect match. The 2nd and ultimately why i replaced every emblem was because the chrome just wasn't up to snuff. I now have all new emblems all the way around. No matter which route you go, detailing or replacing the emblems makes all the difference in the world.

I used Krylon Short Cuts. Small bottles with great pigmentation, flows easily, and levels as it dries. Also supposedly colorfast in sunlight although I havent had them out to test that yet.
