Default New Gas cap/Door idea-

I was looking for something different-

Like the look of the Lemans style- but wanted something a little more sleek looking-

Here's what I found- It's dang close to a perfect fit- just now held in place with Dum Dum. But looks like the Dodge mounting cup will work with out much trimming.

The gas door used on 2008-current Challengers.

I went with the Chrome version- and I'm happy with the $60 it cost for a brand new take off of a 2018 Challenger -

Plus I don't think my car has any Mopar parts on it- and didn't' want to leave them out!!!

Thoughts? Flame me?

It looks really good back in the 70s guys would use these the orginals and some ford caps on custom vettes

If i suggested one thing, fill the old finger divet on the deck

Great idea. I love the look but...…...I have to warm up to the "FUEL" logo.

I like it, but I would not do it without filling out the finger divot like Bats suggested. Here's an example:

Is the "Fuel" logo removable so that you could place some type of Corvette emblem in it's place?

Thanks-

Yes- I would like to fill the divet but car is already painted...

The "Fuel" logo-

I already hit it with a heat gun and turned it 90 degrees...That way you can be at the back of the car and know where to put the gas!!!

Come on- guys-you know I have a plan for the cap!!!

I found a company that makes custom fuel door inserts- machine your own artwork and then anodize it-
They make a lot of neat stuff- https://www.custombilletstore.net/Ch...t_p/200585.htm

Here's a sampling-

I'm thinking about using this "logo"

I like the look. No problem with the "Fuel" logo, but I'm sure you'll change it.

Have you thought about taking the next logical step and adapting the mopar no-cap filler neck?

I like it. Modern and classic at the same time.

Did you add arrows to your fuel gauge, to indicate that you can pull up to either side of the pump?

Regarding the MOPAR fuel cap....

Do you have to put any additive in the fuel to protect against 'organ' rejection issues?

I kept the fuel fill cover off my '68 Charger as garage wall art. Always thought that was the coolest thing! Looks great!

This is a beautiful idea! I like the "V12" emblem, but for me it would HAVE to be the skull & cross bones.
It would reflect the piracy of everything you`ve done to this car so far. But then again, I`m a pirate.

That really looks great Richard. Nice work as usual. Another vote here for the V12 emblem.

Love it! Got any pics from a couple feet farther back on the car? Curious how it looks.

Great Logo on the cap, still looks factory but custom.
