Default Introduction

10 June - Begin measuring for imminent FI Tech fuel injection on 1974 SB car.. 2 days and it should be injected, turn key, first time, everytime... Everything else already great!
11 June - How come the engine is hanging off cherry picker 2 feet above bay.
18 June - Why is the 350 on my engine stand and why is the crank sitting on the work bench?
21 June - That's odd. What is that newly machined. 060 big block doing on the engine stand and what has it done with my 350 block?
26 June - Wait a minute.. Have I always had that Gantry Crane????
29 June - I wonder if that Gantry Crane can lift a car body...
29 June - Wow. It can.. Why are these control arms, so dirty and why is there a box where my rack and pinion should be.. So odd..
30 June - So tell me about this dustless media blasting..
30 June - Damn.. It really is dustless.
1 July - Wife returns from trip Asks.. Did you order the fuel line? I respond....Well...............

Well, anything not life limb or eyesight hazardous, Harbor Freight is a God send.. I figured joining this forum might assist with reasonably priced parts as well as some qualified advice and assistance..

I hope they took the FITech setup back. Where be ye? Sound like you have been a member for a while. And what did you do with Harriet?

Nope. FI Tech setup is still waiting to be put on.. Just have to wait till the chassis is back together, and done with the 468 build. I am in the MD/VA area, and I have been a member for a while if looked at from a fruit fly perspective; it could then be said at least a quarter of my life.

Harriet... well.. She insisted on a Prius and wanted me to sell my guns. I am sure she is doing well at a interactive poetry reading somewhere.. My better half, and what many consider to be the jackpot of my life.. Well after we got back from the range, she cleaned her guns, she cooked me breakfast, and then went out to get the surface rust off the frame with brass brushes, while I clean up the wiring and engine bay...

Jeeps and Corvettes, and right down the street. Ha!

There is only one proper response to question from your wife like that:

I'm in Vienna, VA. I'm guessing you are somewhere within commuting distance of DC since you mentioned MD/VA. I'm not a member of any of the Corvette clubs in the area, but I do go to Katie's Cars and Coffee sometimes in Great Falls, VA, Saturday's from 0600-0900:

My wife's nicer C3 is usually the cheapest car there, sometimes by not one but two orders of magnitude. Corvettes, Jeeps, lowered Miatas, stock BMWs, and just about anything you can imagine are welcome to park next to the supercars.

My wife and I just rode through Vienna because of issues on 66 a few weeks ago, on our way to go run Skyline Drive in Shenandoah Valley on my Streetglide -highly recommend said ride or drive. You are about hour and 15m NW of us.

I am hoping to have the 74 back together by New Years. Just a matter of carving out time in our hectic schedules. Then, I may swing her by and take the cheapest title from you. While I admire high dollar super cars, I would offer that knowing every nut and bolt of your car -and the countless occasions of blood stains from busted knuckles, creates a bond with that car that no amount of money can buy. Just my opinion.

Great intro. Have fun with your project. My frame off started after I waxed it and found to many scratches in the paint.
