Was wondering if someone could decode the engine code for me and tell me size, year and what ever else you can tell me.

68 L79, 327/350 HP, manual transmission. The last four numbers of the VIN derivative place the build date in January 68.

Thank you I could not make any sense of the numbers. Somebody said it was a 73 350.
