whenever I remove the wheels I check to see if my nail polish is getting thin 😁
each wheel gets a different color and I mark the stud and rotor where the rotor needs to be for
the lowest amount of run out. It was time for a new coat 😆
I think I saw this trick on this forum. It works well.
I didnt think of using nail polish for that. I have been using white out to mark the stud and the rotor position when I do brake work so I know I can reposition the hub to the correct location.
I guess we use whatever is around the house. I have two daughters who at the time were into bright colors. When I re did the marks they weren’t into fluorescent colors anymore so I looked real funny buying nail polish lol. I use the colors so each wheel has its own color. I made the mistake of taking the rotors off during the front end rebuild job. And because of the time that lapsed I had forgotten what goes where so I had to test each wheel again. Now it’s easy!
