1974 Speedometer issue
I am trying to figure out if my speedometer needs to be rebuilt.
I recently had an issue with the needle bouncing...So i went out and started small and purchased a new spedo cable to install.
But i also want to check to see if the spedo is bad.
When connecting a drill to the end of the spedo cable(new cable) while it is connected to the back of the speedo and then turning on the drill. Should the spedo bounce at all?
When i pull the drill and give it power it bounces and then comes back to a speed if i am holding the speed consistent.
Thoughts?
