you'll have to contact a chroming shop. The one close to me in Connecticut went by size so you can get an estimate over the phone. 4 pieces of the stock 69 exhaust front tip and rear cost just over 400 total. the rears were small so they were about 75.00 a piece and the front was 125 or so
The PO sandblasted the grille components??? Wow. That's a no-no. There are good chrome shops left in the USA, but they are pretty expensive. If your car is a '70-72 model, you should have them re-chromed, as those are pretty rare and valuable pieces. If the surface is rough and/or has pits, a good shop would first re-plate with thick plating of copper, then finish and polish the parts. That would be followed by nickel plating, then chrome and final polish. Search out shops that specialize in custom auto parts work.
You better shop around wisely. I sent my 69 chrome out to a well known shop in Fall River, Ma 15 years ago and what a hassle. It took 3 times as long as quoted, I had to return one part 3 times to get it right and finally had to drive 2 hours there to get my stuff. Cost was $1200 back then and this place since went out of business and many customers lost the parts they had in house to do. With all the regulations, labor and tax issues these places are closing up, those that do it right charge a lot but you get the job done right. I have seen new pieces that don't bolt up or have lousy plating on them.
Houston Speed and Sport Chrome does Chrome Perfect ! ... not cheap either. but done perfect, and quickly.
they picture id everything before and after. good luck
Forget trying to have the rear license bezel rechromed. No reputable chromer will touch them, because it's almost impossible to get chrome into the upper corners of the bezel. I understand that the companies that have repro-ed them, have had to have a special tool made, to force chrome into the corners. You're better off just buying the repro made by Trim Parts in Michigan, using GM's molds, that sells for around $125.
The best place I found for chrome is Sherms in Sacramento, CA. I've seen many of the pieces they have stripped, repaired, welded, straightened and chromed to perfection. The best cars at most shows and in private collections all around the country have chrome from Sherms.
They aren't cheap, but they are the best.
There used to be some good places in Los Angeles but they folded up years ago.
