Default 1971 Paint history

This 71 came steel cities gray from the factory. By 1972 high school kid with well-heeled dad had custom paint, side pipes, and wheels changed.
It's an LS6 with all the original paperwork, protecto-plate, original motor, dual-disk clutch, M-22, etc.

In 1978 a collector bought it, by 1981 had the old paint stripped off and primered it. Then it looked like this from 1981 until this summer.

As of this past week, it finally is Steel Cities Gray again! Looking forward to finishing the paint work and reassembling. And getting it running for the first time in almost 40 years. It only has 57k miles on it. Never hit body, superb frame and birdcage.

BEAUTIFUL! But I may be a little biased. We bought a 71 coupe project that was an ugly, faded red. It is now back to it`s original Steel Cities Gray.
